It is with great sadness that the family of the late MONICA PITTMAN of Marystown announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Saturday, May 23rd, at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; sons, Kevin (Judy) of St. Lawrence, Raymond (Kathy) of Cambridge, ON, Alvin (Brenda) of Marystown, Brian (Margaret) of Marystown & Paul (Frankie) of Manuels; daughters, Helena Tilley of Marystown & Janet Girvan (Ken) of Winnipeg, MB; sisters, Betty Stacey, Corsina Gaulton, Joan Hodder (Bill); brothers, Robert (Marie) Power of Spanish Room, John (Eileen) Power of Torbay, Leonard (Rose) Power of Spanish Room & Anthony (Joan) Power of St. Catherine's, ON; sisters-in-law, Susie Power of Jean de Baie, Addie Pittman of Marystown, & Cecilia Pittman of Staten Island, NY; brothers-in-law; Richard Pittman of Labrador City & Robert (Beverly) Pittman of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Joseph Pittman; parents, Maurice & Johannah Power; sisters, Catherine Hennebury, Jeanetta Scott; brother, Adrian Power; daughter-in-law, Ruth Pittman; son-in-law, Warren Tilley; granddaughter, Jennifer Pittman; brothers-in-law, Jack Hennebury, Eugene Scott, Clem Gaulton, Bernard Stacey, Richard Drake, William Pittman & John Pittman; sisters-in-law, Sr. Meline Pittman, Sadie Drake, Elizabeth Pittman, Margaret Pittman (Robert), Margaret Pittman (Richard) & Josephine Power.
Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman's Funeral Home in Marystown, on Monday, May 25th, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. & Tuesday, May 26th, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Monica's memory donations may be made to Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund (P.O. Box 368, Marystown, NL A0E 2M0) in Marystown or flowers gratefully accepted.

Monica married Raymond Joseph Pittman, son of Richard Patrick Pittman and Ida Farewell. (Raymond Joseph Pittman was born in 1928 in Marystown, Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland.)
