POWER, Redmond- It is with great sadness that the family of the late Redmond Power announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, December 16th, 1996 in his 78th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted family: wife Anne at home; Raymond and wife Sue, Flinflon, Manitoba, William and wife Edwina, Mt. Pearl, Adale (Dale) and husband Doug Sharpe, St. John's, Ronald and wife Karen, Flinflon, Manitoba: 8 grandchildren Robbie, Chris, Jenny, Margaretann, Laura, Kathlene, Erin and Stephen; brothers: Tom and wife Lillian, Louis, Leo and wife May, all of Stephenville; sisters Marie Besco, Toronto, Margaret (Maggie), Dorothy and husband Ed, both of St. John's; sister-in-law Irene Power, Wabush Labrador. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family are receiving friends at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, St. Georges on Tuesday evening. December 17th, from 8-10 p.m. and Wednesday, December 18th from 2-9 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. with Father Duffenais officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery, Court House Road, St. Georges. As expressions of sympathy, flowers and/or donations to the St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
