I came across this interesting death announcement for Mary Jane Brewer, daughter of Isaac Brewer and Hannah Martin. Mary Jane was 106 when she died on July 9, 1980 in Halifax.

Mrs. Mary Jane Rice
Funeral service was held Saturday in St. Stephen's Church for Mrs. Mary Jane Rice, 106, of Fairview Villa, Halifax, who died July 9 in the villa. Burial was in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Born in Grates Cove, Nfld., she was the former Mary Jane Brewer.
She was one of Nova Scotia's oldest citizens and came from a family of 18 children.
She lived in Halifax most of her life. Before entering the Fairview Villa, she lived with grandchildren Walter and Jean Walsh of 5871 Macara Street.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Edna Watts, Fairview Villa; Helen Stone, Burlington, Ont.; Thelma Jones and Audrey, both of Halifax; two sons, Arthur, Mount Uniacke; Michael, Ontario; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three husbands, Tom Collins, Danny Ryan and Arthur Rice; five daughters, Nellie, Maudie, Hazel, Florence and Margaret and 17 brothers and sisters..
