It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melinda (Linda) Hynes nee Benoit announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Tuesday September 20th, 2016 at the age of 63 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Amanda Benoit and her granddaughter Courtney Winter both in Fort McMurray, her mother Felicitaus Benoit in Point au Mal, her four brothers; Stephen (Ann) Benoit in Stephenville, Peter (Florine) Benoit in Point au Mal, Ralph (Bernice) Benoit in Fox Island River and John (Sherry) Benoit in Point au Mal, her seven sisters; Sarah Leroy in Fox Island River, Evelyn( Joe) LeRoy in Point au Mal, Annabelle Benoit in Point au Mal, Karen (Benoit) in Point au Mal, Delaine (Roger) Walker in Nova Scotia, Glenda (Doug) Benoit in Black Duck Siding and Patsy (Lou) Kinslow in Nova Scotia along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Hynes, her brothers Terrance Benoit and Clayton Benoit and father Duncan Benoit. Funeral services will take place on Friday September 23rd 2016 at 11 am from St. Vincent de Paul Church in Point au Mal with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point au Mal. The family will be receiving friends at the Church in Point au Mal on Thursday from 2-9 pm

Melinda married Joseph H. Hynes. (Joseph H. Hynes was born in 1950, died in 2005 and was buried in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery - Point au Mal, Newfoundland.)
