Carroll Langston Shields, age 86, of Danville, passed away at his residence on April 24, 2017. He was born on November 26, 1930, in the Spring Garden community of Pittsylvania County. He served in the United States Air Force. He was retired from Corning Glass. He was predeceased by his parents Allen T. Shields and Ione Evans Shields, a son Bruce A. Shields.
He is survived by his wife, Mary S. Shields; sons, Steve Shields (Pam) and Dennis Shields; six grandchildren.
Burial will be in Highland Burial Park.
