 General Notes:
Horace did not marry until he was 54 years old. He was a cabinet maker and had a shop at the top of Creamery Hill in Crown Point, NY. His son John Franklin Moore said he remembered it. Horace's father John begged Horace to make him a coffin which he did after much persuasion. It was put on the front porch to season which caused much talk. (per Helen Chase Belden granddaughter of Horace.)
Horace was also a maker of furniture and I have in my possession two chairs that he made that are hand carved and several other pieces of furniture. [Jane O'Connor Foster his great grand daughter]
