www.findagrave.com Obituary: White Church. Marcus Gillet [sic] died at his home on Breed Hill, aged 82. His death was caused by his being thrown from a wagon near Hiram Wright's and striking on the back of his head. He leaves four children--Mrs. Albert Breed of the Centre, Mrs. Edward Moore of Ironville, Elmore Gillett of Iowa* and Charles Gillett of Breed Hill. ("Northern New York Historical Newspapers," Ticonderoga Sentinel; 02 Jul 1903) *Note: Elmore lived in St. Louis, Missouri at the time of his father's death. also The son of Israel Gillett [sic] and Lydia Gove, Mark was born in Vermont. He married Sarah "Sally" Dudley in the 1840's. He was a farmer, and they were the parents of at least 4 children. At the time of his death following an accident, Mark was 82 years, 4 months and 21 days old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally, who passed away in 1892. Children: 2 daughters, 2 sons.
