Rosella's name was definitely Boardway. She was the sister of my grandfather Fred Boardway.
Moses and Rosella married 20 Sep 1871 in Charleston, VT.
In 1910 she is living in Rygate, VT with her son Frank O. Grapes and is a widow. In the Brookfield, MA directory for 1928-29 she is still living with Frank.
Boardway was the name used in VT but the real name was Beaudoin and the family descends from the immigrant to Canada, Rene Beaudoin.

I am a direct descendent of this line. The name is Rosella Boardway. My great great grandfather was Frank Grapes whose father was Moses Grapes. I knew him. He was a blacksmith and he did some smithing in Vermont. We still have a camp up there in Vermont or New Hampshire. ... I was told that the name was Strew though. ... Frank is my mother Linda Day (Smith)s grandfather and my Great Grandmother Ila Day (Grapes) Father ( whom I lived with when I was a young girl). Matilda and I use to garden together. I had some items of hers a candy dish. I had a pitch fork and an anvil that he made. They also grew cotton here in West Brookfield MA. They had a terrible wolf/Shepard dog with a blue eye named Dutches that stayed on the porch and was real mean.
