Her parents were both born in Ireland. Date of death: June 27, 1908. Place of death: 1139 N. Leonard. also: ( This age given would make Margaret born in 1842, and is in conflict with the age she gave to census enumerator in 1900 (60), and also those are in conflict with the age given on 1870 census, of 35, which would put her birth date abt. 1835. I'll stay with the 1840 birth until I have more info... such as 1880 census, to compare. Also the fact that the death certificate states she was born in Canada does not mean she was… usually one of the surviving children give the information, and their recollection may not be correct. Margaret stated consistently in census records that her place of birth was Ireland… that is also the information Jim has in his baby book family tree.) also: Notice of death from St. Louis Newspaper: QUINN -- On Saturday, June 27, 1908, at 7:00 p. m., Margaret Quinn, relict of Patrick Quinn and mother of Michael A., John J., James W., Patrick F. and Mary Quinn, and Mrs. Ellen Darmody, and our dear grandmother. Margaret and Patrick were born in Ireland, according to Jim's baby book (Tipperary), but Ellen, according to parents census records, was born in Canada. Son, John J., Jim's grandfather, states in later census records that mother was born in Ontario, and Margaret's death certificate states her birthplace as Canada, so more research will be necessary on this.) also: More About MARGARET SLATTERY: Burial: 1908, Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri Census 1: 1870, St. Louis, Missouri, Ward 7, Subdivision 14, Pg. 468, shown living at 1717 Christy Ave. Census 2: 1900, St. Louis City, Missouri, Dist. 23, 2nd. ward pp 16A, 2600 N. 10th.
