City of St. Louis Certified Copy of Death Certificate, No. VR00073 for Margaret Quinn indicates she was 66 yrs. of age, widowed, born in Canada. Her parents were both born in Ireland. Date of death: June 27, 1908. Place of death: 1139 N. Leonard.

( This age given would make Margaret born in 1842, and is in conflict with the age she gave to census enumerator in 1900 (60), and also those are in conflict with the age given on 1870 census, of 35, which would put her birth date abt. 1835. I'll stay with the 1840 birth until I have more info... such as 1880 census, to compare. Also the fact that the death certificate states she was born in Canada does not mean she was… usually one of the surviving children give the information, and their recollection may not be correct. Margaret stated consistently in census records that her place of birth was Ireland… that is also the information Jim has in his baby book family tree.)

(Note: Immigration year could be correct, but could it have been immigration to Canada? Margaret and Patrick were born in Ireland, according to Jim's baby book (Tipperary), but Ellen, according to parents census records, was born in Canada. Son, John J., Jim's grandfather, states in later census records that mother was born in Ontario, and Margaret's death certificate states her birthplace as Canada, so more research will be necessary on this.)

Will look into this new information, as this is approximately when Margaret and Patrick would have been married, with Ellen being born in Canada in 1860.

Margaret married Patrick Quinn, son of Unknown Quinn and Unknown. (Patrick Quinn was born circa 1829 in Tipperary, Ireland and died on 17 May 1877 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.)
