Bennett, Edmond JASPER, Fla. Edmond Edward Bennett, age 76, of Jasper and formerly of Windsor, Vt., died October 29, 2006.
Born in Medway, N.Y. on January 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Edward Edmond Bennett and Elizabeth Ann Wildey Bennett. His wife Blanche Carol Belanger Bennett; infant son Edmond Edward Bennett Jr.; brothers, Harold and Bruce Bennett; and his sisters, Gloria Bennett Medert and Greta Bennett Stott, predeceased him. He is survived by two children, Lawrence (Char) Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla. and Gail Bennett of Northford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Paul David (Vanessa) Bennett and Nicki Elizabeth Bennett (Erik) Johnson; two sisters, Alice (Frank) Ellsworth of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and Nan (Paul) Roesch of Glens Falls, N.Y. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served his country in Japan and the Philippines. He was a retiree of the Cone Blanchard Machine Company of Windsor, Vt. and was a longtime member of the B.P.O. Elks, most recently in the Lake City, Fla. Lodge. He was an avid ham radio operator (N1TJN). A wake will be held in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. A graveside service with burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Memory's Garden, Colonie, N.Y.
