Richard Cilley
General Notes: research of L. Cunningham on www.rootsweb.com - Fishing master on the Isles of Shoals in 1651. In 1653 he was named commissioner to end small cases and signed the petition to have the Isles constituted as a township. Lived on the Isles of Shoals, removed to Saco, Maine where his wife was listed in the meeting house seating-list in 1666. They took refuge in Salem, MA during King Philip's War in 1675-1676. Took the oath of alligiance to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in Boston in 1678. Richard married Martha Blaisdell. (Martha Blaisdell was born circa 1632 in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts and died in Jul 1691 in Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.) |
