Per History of Plymouth he lived in Plymouth, Grafton County in1860 and removed to Franklin, Merrimack, NH in 1863.

Per NHVR marriage records he was ae 23 and a res of Plymouth, NH at the time of his marriage (1860). His occupation was glove cutter.
At the time of his 2nd marriage he is listed as a res of Franklin, NH ae 45; a trader.

In the Civil War he enlisted at Plymouth on 13 Nov 1861; discharged, disability at Concord, Nov 25 1862. He lived in Plymouth until after the sevice in the Army, when he removed to Franklin, Merrimack, NH.

Daniel Dudley Straw was born in Aug of 1838 in Plymouth, Grafton County, NH the s/o Dudley and Mary (Avery) Straw. He m. Ann Durkee in 1860 and then enlisted in the Civil War out of Plymouth. Discharged in 1863 due to disablilties he remained in Plymouth until about 1863 when he and Ann moved to Franklin, NH. Ann died in Franklin in 1882. In 1885 Daniel remarried to Morgiana (Fowler) Hutchison in Franklin. Daniel died in Leominster, MA in 1887 of "complications of diseases."

Daniel married Ann Sarah Durkee, daughter of Austin Strong Durkee and Sally M. Hosment, on 30 Jun 1860 in Plymouth, Grafton County, New Hampshire. (Ann Sarah Durkee was born about 1840 in Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont, died on 18 Jul 1882 in Franklin, Merrimack County, New Hampshire and was buried in Franklin Cemetery in Merrimack County, New Hampshire.). The cause of her death was Ovarian tumor; intestinal hemorrhage.

Fowler was born on 27 Aug 1841 in New Hampshire, died on 27 Dec 1889 in Leominister, MA and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Worcester county, Massachusetts.)
