(Sue Phaneuf)I THINK that this Elvira Strow is actually the Elvira Straw born 1811 to Sargent Sargent Straw and Priscilla Bennett. In the 1850 census, Nathaniel & Alvira are living in Brighton MA, where he is a butcher. Elvira/Alvira gives her age as 39 and her POB as NH; Nathaniel is 49 [16 April 1801] and he was born in Vienna, ME. They have one child, Alvira, age 11. I haven't been able to locate them after this census.
Elvina married Nathaniel Wethern, son of Arnold Wethern and Sarah Whittier, on 10 Aug 1835 in Brighton, Massachusetts. (Nathaniel Wethern was born on 16 Apr 1801 in Vienna, ME and died on 15 May 1853.)
