"...Jonathan Adams was born at Braintree, MA 27 Nov 1752...while living at Holliston, MA belonged to Capt John Leland's comany of Minute Men which marched to cambridge after the alarm on 19 April 1775, where he enlisted a few days later and served for eight months under Capt John Leleand and Jacob Miller in Col Doolittle's Regt...served one month as a carpenter in the barracks at Winter Hill...served three months late in 1777 in Capt Samuel Burbank's company..Col Abner Perry's Regt and in July 1780 for fourteen days in Capt Chamgerlain's company...pension executed 29 Aug 1833 in Holliston, MA...no data on file as to his family..[Washington Gardiner, commissioner of pensions Spt 1922]
