per DAR records he served in the defense of Piscataqua Harbor, 1775, as private in the NH Line. He was born in Amesbury, MA; Per History of Weare he served in Rev War under General Sullivan and had previously served with his father Caleb in the French and Indian war
per FTM he also served as Selectman of Dunbarton, NH in 1769
