John and Sally may have lost an earlier child to dysentary that was rampant at the time and took the lives of three of her brothers and sisters and in a letter written by her mother to her father in 1803 her mother mentions that Sally has lost a child also.

John and his brother Daniel married sisters Sally and Mary Straw who were daughters of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Brown Straw.They were the sons of Samuel Savory and Elizabeth Sargent whose names appear in the Pluma Straw Bible.

Per Warner Historical Society: Sarah and John were married in Kearsarge Gore, Warner, NH

Samuel Savory, son of Chase, son of Robert, son of William, son of Robert, was born March 15, 1749-50. He married at Amesbury, Mass., Mrs. Elizabeth Sargeant. The intentions of marriage were published February 10, 1776. She was born April 18, 1757, and died March 20, 1847. He died September 9, 1821, being killed in the great tornado which swept through Warner, N. H., and destroyed his home, as will be related here-after. They removed from Amesbury, Mass., to Derry, N.H., where they lived for a time. They then settled in Salisbury, N.H., and finally moved into what was known as Kearsarge Gore, in Warner, N.H. They had three sons and one daughter:

Robert, married Abigail Hardy and had the following children:
Samuel.
Jesse.
Levi, born 1808, died in 1873. He married Wealthy Bailey, who was born in 1811 and died in 1880.
George, married in 1851, Sophronia Downer. She was born in Thetford, Vt., and died November 30, 190z, at Warner, N. H.
v. Isaac. vi. William. vii. Lydia, married Samuel Chase, and died April 20, 1882. They had two children, Louis N. and Emmeline, who married a Ludlam.
John, born at Amesbury, Mass., August 30, 1785, and died at Warner, N.H., January 11, 1856. He married Sarah Straw March 12, 1807.
