married her childhood sweetheart Samuel David Thomas in Morrow County, OH. They moved to Elmdale, Chase County, KS in 1880. Her obituary says she "spent two winters with her sons (Charley and Harry) in California, returning from there only last May". The obituary also states: she was a "fine little lady" with virtue. "A friend, a good companion, always pleasant and full of humor".
