Facebook posting 13 Feb 2020 re "Challoners" Loretta Ward ".....yep that's the place we call Channel's Hr. It is about a half hour walk to the NW in Clattice Hr. and about half an hour down Paradise Sound from SEBight. Located just across from Darby's Hr on the other side of the Sound and about half an hour from Monkstown."

per Jim Rogers it is called CHANNELORS HR .."James Pittman was son of Elizabeth Rodgers sister of my ggrandfather Henry Ro(d)gers.
...... as you can see there are a number of different spellings - the Census of both 1921 and 1935 spell it as Chandler's Hr. In other instances it has been spelled Channel Hr. Possibly because of the access to the salt-water pond there, but just a guess. Have not seen it on a map although I have no doubt it's there on some of the older archived ones."
