SPRUCE PINE [North Carolina] - Jane Helen Straw Bradbury, 86, of the Estatoe community, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at the Brian Center of Spruce Pine. Born in Elmira, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Chester and Lillian Jessie Burget Straw, and wife of the late James Herman Bradbury. She loved art and had been an organ teacher. Survivors include a daughter, Stacie Sparks of Spruce Pine; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church. The Revs. Jim Sutton and Larry Greene officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine assisted the family.
