The following in formation came to me via a letter written by my great Aunt Nell Douglas. (The next two paragraphs.)
"Ira Gamble had 3 children by his first wife, Gene, Clara & Charles. Clara married "Mr. Wilkins & they had one son. Clara was killed on the way to her son's funeral in 1965. She was 90 years old."
"Ira married Sadie Briggs. They had 5 children, Lara, Harvey, Merel, Earl, Ruth. Ira died 1902. Then Sadie married Mr. Moore and had 3 children Bill, Nelson & Theo. Mr. Moore died and she married Fred Conet/Coret and he died. Sadie died April 1954."
Ira's first wife was Mary Anne Freel. They married December 15, 1859 in Huntington, Indiana. Son Gene's first name was Hugh.
Ira married Sarah Briggs, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 15 Dec 1888 in Sand Lake, Kent county, Michigan. (Sarah Briggs was born on 5 Apr 1872 in Eaton Rapids, Eaton County, Michigan.)
