Charles was the son of Daniel Peaslee and Lucinda Spaulding. One paper states he was born in Lancaster, another in Northumberland.
On Dec 8, 1874 in Dalton, NH he married Lurette M. Straw, daughter of Eliphaz Straw and Almira Emmet.
They had two daughters, Ada and Elgie E.
Lurette died in 1892.
On Sept 11, 1894 in Dalton he married Ella Ida (Clark) Bucknam, daughter of John Clark and Susan Nute, and widow of William H. Bucknam.
They had two daughters, Julia in 1896 and Isabelle in 1897. They only appear in the 1900 census; so they may have died, although none of them are found in a 1910 census.

Charles married Lurette M. Straw, daughter of Eliphaz Silsby Straw and Almira Murray Cammet, on 8 Dec 1874 in Dalton, Coos County, New Hampshire. (Lurette M. Straw was born on 10 Jun 1850 in Lancaster, Coos County, New Hampshire, died on 28 Dec 1892 in Lancaster, Coos County, New Hampshire and was buried in Number 10 Cemetery Lancaster, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA.). The cause of her death was peritonitis.
