Sargent had a relationship with Lucretia Ann Austin, daughter of Huse Austin and Sally Dinsmore. (Lucretia Ann Austin was born on 15 Jul 1835 in Northfield, Merrimack County, New Hampshire and died on 19 Jan 1918 in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.)

  Marriage Notes:

There is no evidence of a marriage. Lucretia kept her first husband's name in all documentation I could locate [census, City directories etc]
No where is she ever listed as Lucretia Bennett. She and Sargent did have children together but none of her children by Danforth were "adopted" by Sargent Bennett or took the surname of Bennett.

Sargent next married Martha Heath on 19 Apr 1834 in Hill, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. The marriage ended in divorce on 18 Aug 1864. (Martha Heath was born circa 1805.)
