STAFFORD V. BURT Stafford Volney Burt, 76, Clinton, Mo., died March 24, 1994, at Veterans Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton; burial in Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Parks Chapel Baptist Church, Clinton. Mr. Burt was born in Colorado and lived in Garden City, Mo., before moving to Clinton four years ago.
He was a farmer, retiring in 1976. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of the church. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Burt of the home; a daughter, Lela Foster, Clinton; four brothers, Orbin Burt, Braymer, Mo., Radford Burt, Warsaw, Mo., Melvin Burt, Fair Play, Mo., and Gordon Burt, Kansas City; four sisters, Bernice Straw, Parsons, Kan., Vivian Manuel, Clinton, Persis Beldin, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Betty Gregory, Deepwater, Mo.; a granddaughter; and three great-grandsons.
