Noble MacBriar Jr. East Lansing Formerly of Milwaukee, WI Born May 31, 1919 in Seattle, Washington and died August 31, 2012 in East Lansing, Michigan at the age of 93. He is predeceased by his wife, Susan R. MacBriar; parents, Ruth and Wallace Noble MacBriar Sr.; his sisters, Patience Shaner (George) and Helen Wordingham (John); and his brother, Joseph MacBriar (Dorothy). He is survived by his daughters, Barbara R. MacBriar and Robin M. MacBriar (Craig Hutchinson), and his son, Thomas S. MacBriar (Luanne Brown); grandchildren, Nicholas Hutchinson (David Hoffman), Alexander MacBriar, Katherine MacBriar (Marcelo Hernandez), and Ryan MacBriar (Tishina); great grandchildren, Miguel, Liliana, and Joaquin MacBriar-Hernandez, and Carter MacBriar; and many nieces and nephews and their families. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Rollins College in 1941 and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1972. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a communications officer. His early working life was spent in radio and television in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He began working at the Milwaukee Public Museum in 1957 and retired as the Assistant Director there in 1984. His primary interest was in banding birds for scientific study, first licensed at 18 and continuing to band until he was 86. No funeral service or memorial is planned. He will be interred at Sanford Cemetery near Margaretville, NY next to his wife Susan.
