The godmother is entered as Emérend (spelling?) Béland, who is likely related to mother Marguerite Agathe Béland, most likely as her sister.
Marie Ann Strew does not appear on the Aug 1850 US Census with her family in New York, nor any other census after 1850, leading me to believe she died at some point before 1850. Her brother George E. Strew, born in 1844, always appears first on each census

Also, the family reported a death in the column "Deaths during year 1851" on the 2nd page of the April 1852 Canada Census. Though the "male" column is checked, I believe this to be Marie Anne Strew, who likely died just before the August 1850 US Census.
