Applied for pension Sept 1830 while living at Northfield, Merrimack County, NH and living with him at that time were his wife Elizabeth age 67; daughter Betey Abbott age 42 and grand dau Emily B. Abbott age 8yrs. His son Elias Abbott Jr age 44 yrs was also a resident of Northfield, NH at that time.
Elias married Elizabeth Buswell, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 4 Sep 1782. (Elizabeth Buswell was born on 4 Sep 1761 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire and died on 25 Jan 1832.)
