'97 John C Straw, 79, passed away at Hanover Terrace Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness. He was the son of Edson A Straw and May (Little) Straw. Mr Straw was an employee of the LW Packard Woolen Co for many years, retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Dupuis-Cross Post American Legion and St Agnes Catholic Church. He was a life member of the NRA. He was an Army veteran of World War II.He was the widower of Nancy Brown-Straw. Mr Straw is survived by one daughter, Michelle Straw of Lebanon; two sons, Dean and Dale of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Richard Straw of Ashland.A memorial service will be held at a later date in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland. Donations may be made to the NH Affiliate of the American Heart Association, c/o Shelia Page, Ashland, NH 03217. Arrangements are by Dupuis Funeral Home, Ashland, NH. >The Record Enterprise, July 7, 1993.
