bullet  General Notes:

Per her death records her father was ____Bridge and mother _____ Rand
I am assigning her mother as Caroline Rand Straw based on the following:
Caroline's children by Thomas Akeley Straw all refer to Lucretia as a "sister" or "half sister" [Indicating a relationship..in this case they all share the same mother]
Caroline married Thomas Straw in 1845 and has had at least three children by him at this time and is step mother to his 6 children by first wife Phebe.[An overwhelming responsibility] Lucretia is living with Caroline's married sister in 1850 census. Cynthia married 1839 and had her first known child 1841.[Obviously more suited to raising Lucretia] In their adult lives all of Cynthia's children refer to Lucretia as a "sister"..perhaps because Cynthia most likely raised her.....
Also Lucretia remained in Morristown...and may never have had a bonding relationship with her biological mother but obvioulsy did with her half brothers and sisters..as noted below she seemed to socialize with Caroline's Straw's children and also had a strong relationship with Cynthia's children...[All of this is speculation on my part but the available documentation seems to bear it out] I will leave her as Caroline's daughter unless I find documentation to prove otherwise.
