Thomas Power (b. abt.1817) married to Ellen(Nellie) O'Brien left PEI abt. 1859 with at least 3 of his children (Philip b.1837, John, Flora) to come to Newfoundland where they resided in South East Bight, Placentia Bay.
I also know that they had more children (Catherine and Johanna - both baptized in the 1850's in PEI) but I do not know if they or their mother (Ellen) followed them to Newfoundland.
My grandfather,(Philip Pius) the son of William Power [who] m. Catherine Brewer, told about Thomas Power's brother, named Philip who had come from PEI or Nova Scotia where he had worked in the shipyards and then had moved to Oderin in Placentia Bay.

Thomas married Ellen "Nellie" O'Brien circa 1859.
