per History of Canaan, NH by Wm Wallace ; pub Concord NH 1910:
Reuben Gile sold land to his son Stephen and then moved away in 1828. Stephen moved to Morristown, VT with his bro in law Jacob Straw and another bro in law, Wm Straw of Hopkinton then owned the "Gile" farm.

Relief was his second wife. He first married Mehitable Blake per research of Ivan Guile. Mehitable was born 1794 in Kensington, NH and died 1837 in Stowe, VT
per S. Phaneuf: in 1850 Richard Gile is living w/one of his dtrs by Mehitable Blake.
