Samuel was the son of James Moore and Catherine Ross.
On Oct 30, 1838 in NH he married Hannah Card Massure, daughter of James Massure and Hannah Blake.
Their children were James, Catherine, Samuel, and David.
Hannah died in 1868.
On Nov 24, 1870 in Northumberland he married Caroline A. (Brown) Hutchins, daughter of John and Elizabeth Brown. She was the widow of Henry S. Hutchins. She was 38 and Samuel was 65. It was the 2nd marriage for both.

Note:
In the 1870 census Samuel is a widow, living with son James, and his housekeeper Caroline Hutchins & her 9 yr old daughter Letta Hutchins.
In the 1880 census Samuel is living alone and listed as widowed, but his death certificate lists him as married. I can't find any record of Caroline or her daughter after the marriage.
