Joseph married Mary Collins, daughter of Samuel Collins and Hannah Dow, on 3 Feb 1787 in Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine. (Mary Collins was born on 19 Sep 1762 in Weare, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire and died in Sep 1841 in Dixmount, Maine.)
