William Howe

  Research Notes:

The History of Henniker NH lists William and his children. although it does not include a daughter Betsey, she could have been their first child born 1791..Lydia would have been 22. there is no documentation of when they married. The History of Henniker says..."William had a large family of children, but there is no record of their births."

I have her (Betsey Howe) parents as William Howe and Lydia Whitman but can't say for absolute sure. I have a lot of DNA matches with their descendants. None of the trees I have viewed have her as a daughter. However she may have had a brother Peter Howe born 1798 in Henniker, NH where she was said to have been born. I have DNA matches with all of his children and he named one of his sons Madison (as did Betsey) unusual name I think? I found a lot of Micah Howe Family Trees on Ancestry.com but no matches for me and there are over 200 of them. In the History of Henniker……(author?) I found a William Howe who married a Lydia Whitman. "William had a large family of children, but there is no record of their births. His wife died May, 1850. " One of the sons was Peter Howe born 1798 and I have DNA matches with his descendants..Several. There are some 18 children listed of William and Lydia but no Betsey but there is space between a son William born 1789 and a daughter Polly born 1792…all speculation but possible?

William married Lydia Whitman. (Lydia Whitman was born in 1769 and died in 1850.)
