Lawrence Township and she is listed at top of sheet titled Bolivar, OH which is a continuation of the entries for Bolivar. Both sheets were written 31 Oct 1850.... www.familysearch.com shows the two sheets in consecutive order but www.ancestry.com does not.

1858 - Amelia Shock may have been living in Franklin, DeKalb county, IN at the time of her marriage there in 1858. Her mother is living with her brother there in 1860 and Amelia may have also lived with him along with her mother prior to the marriage which would explain this location.

Amelia appears in the 1850 census of Bolivar, Lawrence township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio at age 10 and lives with her mother Catherine [no husband listed]and two probable brothers Henry and John. The surname is written as SHEAK and Amelia is called "Amelia Shark" by census taker but in the same dwelling and it appears to be her family. The head of the Household is a Christian Glasser born 1802 Germany who also appears to be alone with no wife but two small children.

Amelia married Isaac Newton Straw on 6 June 1858 in DeKalb, Indiana, possibly Franklin township as she had a probable brother Frederick Shock who married in July of 1858 in DeKalb county, IN and was living in Franklin in the 1860 census.Their records are only a few pages apart in a ledger of marriages performed in DeKalb County, IN
