[Research of Vera Bunger: Myra Everts was the d/o Stephan and Esther Ann (Eliott)Everts. Esther Ann Eliott's parents were Isaac Eliott and Mary Sophia Taylor. Myra's siblings were: Kate, Charles and Ella. Myra's father Stephan Everts died when Myra was three years old. Kate, Ella and Myra were put in to an orphanage. their mother remarried to William Warner and Wm and Esther took the girls from the orphanage in Milwaukee, WI and moved to New Hampton, IA. [the girls kept the name of Everts]

MASON CITY GLOBE GAZETTE - Iowa; tuesday 8 Dec 1942 NEW HAMPTON- Funeral services for Mrs. George Straw, Sr..were held Tuesday afternoon at her home. Mrs Straw died Sunday after an illness of several years. She was born March 5, 1871 at Milwaukee. On Sept. 10, 1888. she was married to George Straw in New Hampton. Mr. Straw died eight years ago. Ten children survive: Harold Straw, Mrs. Robert McCahen and Mrs. Robert Kalkbrenner. all of New Hampton; Jesse of Sumner-Mrs. Vernon Fulcher of Charles City; Alva Straw of Yakima, .Wash.: George Straw, Jr., Oeliwein; Mrs. E. F. Draheim. Mrs.William Gauger, and Orville Straw, all of Waterloo.
