Fredericksburg News | Fredericksburg, Iowa | Thursday, October 12, 1939 AMANDA STANSBURY PASSED AWAY SATURDAY Friends here of Mrs. Amanda Stansbury were grieved to learn that she passed away Saturday evening ot a heart attack at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ernest Dietz at New Hampton, at the age of 72 years. Born August 19, 1867 in Chickasaw county, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Straw, married to Franklin Stansbury March 28, 1887. Mr. Stansbury died in 1918. A daughter Mrs. Ray Conway of Oelwein died this summer. She is survived by one son Ira Stansbury of Reinbeck, two daughters Mrs. Ernest Dietz of New Hampton and Mrs. Rella Barker of Fredericksburg, also several grand children and one great grand son. This was the home of the deceased for many years where she made many friends by her unfailing kindness. A faithful attendant of the Baptist Church and the Women's Bible Class. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Baptist church in New Hampton, conducted by the pastor Rev. Zertz assisted by Rev. U. E. Burroughs of the Fredericksburg church who had been her pastor for several years. Burial at New Hampton.
