Mason City Globe-Gazette | Mason City, Iowa | Tuesday, August 26, 1947 Rites at New Hampton For Longtime Citizen New Hampton- Funeral services for Harold A. Straw, 57, were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Victor Hintgen, pastor, officiating. Mr. Straw died Saturday. He was born in New Hampton Sept. 30, 1889. son of Mr. and Mrs. George Straw. He married Martha Lensing, who died 17 years ago. Surviving are 3 daughters: Mrs. Joe Perko of Chicago, Mrs. George Hoffman and -Mrs. Al Krogman, both of New Hampton; 9 brothers and sisters: Alva of Yakima, Wash., George of Marshalltown; Jesse and Orville, both of New Hampton; Mrs. Robert Kalkbrenner, Mrs. Robert Mc- "ahen and Mrs. Edward Drflheim, all of New Hampton; Mrs. Will Gauger of Waterloo and Mrs. Eva Fulcher of Charles City."

Harold married Martha Josephine Lensing, daughter of Joseph Lensing and Elizabeth Linneman, on 27 Oct 1914 in New Hampton, Chickasaw County, Iowa. (Martha Josephine Lensing was born in Jun 1894 in Iowa, died on 7 May 1930 in Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Hampston, Chickasaw County, Iowa.). The cause of her death was Pneumonia.
