Donald Lee Straw, 78, of Nowata, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home in Nowata.
Private family services will be held and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.
A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the 10-33 Wheelchair Transport Fund, P.O. Box 815, Nowata, Oklahoma, 74048.
Mr. Straw was born in Nowata on August 7, 1937 the son of Homer and Lillie (Inman) Straw. He grew up in Nowata and graduated from high school in 1956. He was married to Wanda Lou Lay in Nowata on June 7, 1957. They made their home in Nowata and Mr. Straw was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville for 36 years until his retirement.
Mr. Straw is survived by his wife Wanda Lou Straw of Nowata, three children, John Straw and wife Michele of Bartlesville, Lynn Maxey and husband David of Lenapah, and Jeff Straw and wife Rose of Nowata, one brother, Jim Straw and wife Barbara of Bartlesville, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harry Straw.
