Thomas was on the roll of the company commanded by Captain John Moore,Colonel Stark's regiment, at Cambridge in August of 1775 and was therefore probably at the Battle of Bunker Hill. In October he was in Captain McLaughlin's company. In July 1776 he enlisted for Canada in company commanded by Captain William Barron in Colonel Wingate's regiment. His full name per Kelly Stettner
