JENSEN BEACH, FL -- Cecelia Ostwald, 84, of South Ocean Drive, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Flynn Phillips. Mrs. Ostwald had been a resident of North Troy for most of her life and had lived for 10 years at the Vosburgh Trailer Park in Mechanicville before moving to the Florida address 2 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh. She was widow of the late John J. Ostwald, Sr. She was mother of John J. Ostwald, Jr. of Troy, Janet M. Nolin of Grafton, Shirley A. Maroney of Jensen Beach, FL, James R. Ostwald of Redford, MI, MaryAnn Frechette of Mechanicville and the late Frank G. Ostwald; sister of Theresa Kehn, Mary Grimmick and Edward Phillips all of Troy. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford and at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home office.
