the 1930 U.S. Federal Census for Platte Co. Dist #8 Election Dist #5 Wyoming has James listed as 41, Josephine H. as 37, Arlene Ruth 14, Wayne Erwin as 12, Irma Isabell as 10, Imogene Irene as 9, Elmer Dean as 7, and George Alvin as 1, all but George Alvin were born in Nebraska, George was born in Wyoming. There is one more child born to this couple Marvin Earl also born in Wyoming. There were two daughters born before Arlene that died as infants.
James Elmer died in 1960 while living in Payette Idaho and this is where he is burried.

James married Hallie Josephine Straw, daughter of George Jackson Straw and Amanda Ellen Elliott, on 17 Dec 1911 in Angora, Morrill County, Nebraska. (Hallie Josephine Straw was born on 11 Feb 1893 in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska, died on 21 Jan 1973 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon and was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Payette, Idaho.)
