research of Jane O'Connor Foster:
Caroline married first to _________Bridge and had one known daughter by him [Lucretia B. Bridge] By 1850 Lucretia is living with Caroline's sister Cynthia Rand Sapulding; Caroline had married in 1845 to Thomas Akeley Straw a millwright from Stowe, Vermont. In the 1850 census it shows the family in Stowe with several children. Thomas had been widowed when he married Caroline and all of the children were from his wife Phebe whio died in 1844 except the two youngest whose mother was Caroline.
She was to have seven children by Thomas.. Albert P. died at age 10 mos but the others all lived to adulthood including her daughter Lucretia. Caroline died in 1857 of a mild form of small pox.

per cem records she was ae 39y when she died. Cause of death: varioloid (mild form of smallpox)
