Eldred Ray Straw, 90, of Tampa; Fla., a former resident of Arnold;, died of respiratory arrest Tuesday at the Centurian Hospital of Carrollwood in Tampa after a brief illness. Born in Guilford, Maine, Mr. Straw was a graduate of Guilford High School.He was a claims adjuster for insurance companies and for the-state Department of Motor Vehicles.
He was a Navy veteran of World War I.He was a member of Woods ME Memorial Presbyterian Church of Severna Park and the Guyasuta Lodge a Masonic organization of Pittsburgh, Pa.
His hobbies were gardening and making Raggedy Ann dolls.
Surviving are one son, David I.Straw of Coconut Creek, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grand-children.
Both his wife, Eleanor B. Straw, and a son, Robert E. Straw, died,earlier this year.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral, Chapel, 147 Duke of Gloucester St.
Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Annapolis.
