72, Bay Springs Trail, DeLand, died Wednesday, Jan. 13. Mr. Straw was a self-employed salesman and retired from Portsmouth Navy Shipyard, Portsmouth, N.H. He also owned and operated the Banks Lobster Co., Portsmouth. Born in Burlington, Maine, he moved to Central Florida in 1997. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans - Piscataqa No. 4, New Hampshire, and established one of the restaurants on historic Cenes Street, Tugboat Lobster House. Survivors: wife, Joan; sons, Michael, Pensacola, Eldred V. Jr., Dairy, N.H., Laurence A., Maine; daughters, Miriam Roberts, Ohio, Joanne Grace, North Carolina, Marilyn, Maine; brother Merel Jr., Hampton Beach, N.H.; sister, June MacDonald, Stewart; 14 grandchildren.
