Fred bought Ben Brown's house and had it mmoved from the bottom of the harbor to the point for his parents. Ted Hepditch bought it from him for $50.00 in 1952 after Walter died. Fred moved back to Corner Brook.......Fred fell and broke his hip 2003...had surgery.....

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Connors announces his passing at the Interfaith Home on Monday, October 23, 2006 at the age of 97 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his niece, Irene (Tony) Ryan of Arnold's Cove; special friends: Walter Lyver and Loretta McCarthy; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret & Walter Connors; sisters: Mary, Bride, Stella and Louise; and brothers; William, Fergus, and Alphonsus. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Ave. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses.
