I see that you have George Pittman (1815-) and Mary (Shea) as James Pittman's (1835-) parents. I tried to find the source for this and I found the following in K Pittman's family tree:
KPittman09 Wild guess: This name is a guess based on the 1871 Lovell's directory that shows a planter, George Pittman fishing out of Merasheen with several other Pittmans, James, Michael and Charles, who might be his sons?
On the other hand, Robert Pittman uses the following marriage Record of Willam Pittman' and Mary Hines marriage record of September 26, 1836 to show that they are the parents.
B. Higginson also claims Philip Pittman was James's son born 1859 and died 1949

James married Elizabeth Murphy, daughter of Michael Murphy and Elizabeth Salmon. (Elizabeth Murphy was born in 1834 in Placentia, Newfoundland and died on 3 Sep 1915 in Placentia, Newfoundland.)
