HICKEY, Alphonsus - Passed peacefully away at Lion's Manor, Placentia on Sunday, November 9, 2008, Alphonsus Hickey, formerly of Davis Cove, aged 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary of 52 years; sons: Frank (Valerie) of Southern Harbour; Jim of Ontario and Mike (Rose Mary) of Southern Harbour; daughter Anne (Gord Rideout) of Brampton, Ont.; grandsons: Patrick (Kelly), Michael, Darren and Kyle; granddaughters: Kassandra, Marissa, Chelsea and Samantha and a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Francis Xavier Church in Southern Harbour. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Christ The King Cemetery, Southern Harbour. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
Alphonsus married Mary Margaret Power, daughter of Philip Francais "Frank" Power and Agnes Hepditch, circa 1956. (Mary Margaret Power was born on 6 Jun 1933 in Clattice Harbor SW, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland.)
