COLLINS, John - Passed peacefully away at his home in North Harbour on November 8, 1994, in the presence of his family, age 93 years. Predeceased by his brother Peter and sister Margaret. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Mary, of 62 years of marriage; three daughters: Margaret Power (Richard), North Harbour, Marie King, Scarborough, Ont., Josephine Walsh (Sebastian), North Harbour; one son Joseph (Beth), Oakville, Ont.; one stepson John Follett (Jennie), Placentia; 28 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren; one foster sister Ellen Paul, Scarborough, Ont.: five nephews: Michael, Douglas, Peter, Joseph and Ignatius Collins; four nieces: Bernadette, Clara, Jean and Anita; a special friend and cousin Brendan Collins, Placentia; also a large number of other relatives and friends. John married Mary Christina Brewer, daughter of Patrick Brewer and Mary Ann Pittman. (Mary Christina Brewer was born on 27 Dec 1903 in Clattice Harbor, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and died on 12 Oct 1998 in North Harbour, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland.). The cause of her death was Cancer.
