A probable sister of Reuben Straw of Weathersfield, VT who was born 1766. A Dorothy Straw (b1765) married a James Prescott and settled in Strafford, Vt. and she named a son "Reuben Straw Prescott" Also she lived in Strafford, VT as did her probable brother Joseph.

- Wife of James PRESCOTT (b. 1769 Strafford, Orange, VT, d. 19 Nov 1825). James and Dorothy lived in Genesee Co, NY and raised a large family. At least one of their sons Reuben PRESCOTT moved to Kane Co, IL and probably so did Dorothy move to the area.
Dorothy married James Prescott, son of James Prescott and Jane Hilliard, on 15 Nov 1791 in Hillsboro, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. (James Prescott was born in 1769 in Strafford twp, Orange County, Vermont, died on 19 Nov 1825 in New York and was buried in Pioneer Cemetery in Dale, Wyoming County, New York.)
