John, the second son, was born in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, in 1788.
He was an inn keeper and proprietor of a stage route in Newport for
many years, but in 1845 followed his brothers and son to Cass County,
Michigan, settling in Ontwa Township. He remained here about ten
years, but after the death of his second wife, returned to New
Hampshire, where he died in 1864. . ."
